Privanova showcases DRG4FOOD at the Historic UN Convention Against Cybercrime

On August 9, 2024, Privanova proudly presented the DRG4FOOD project at the United Nations Convention Against Cybercrime.

This significant event, attended by representatives from 193 UN member countries and key stakeholders, marked a historic consensus on the “United Nations Convention Against Cybercrime.” The treaty represents a monumental step forward in global cybercrime prevention and will be formally adopted by the UN General Assembly later this year.

Farhan Sahito from Privanova was thrilled to give a presentation at the occasion, emphasizing DRG4FOOD’s critical role in shaping the global discourse on cybersecurity. His presentation underscored the project’s impact on advancing international cooperation and setting new standards in the fight against cybercrime.

We are also pleased to announce that Privanova’s final position paper, presented by Farhan at the Reconvened Concluding Session, is now featured on the UNODC website. This paper, which discusses the integration of human rights safeguards, data protection, and the importance of global cooperation, has been crucial in shaping the discussions at the convention. The explicit mention of DRG4FOOD in this context further emphasizes the significance of our work in contributing to the development of international cybersecurity standards.

For more details, you can access the full position paper here.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to lead the way in advancing digital responsibility and international cooperation in the fight against cybercrime.
