About

Overview

ATTESTED aims to introduce a comprehensive set of interoperable baseline technologies in order to improve efficacy in the agricultural and food production landscape. This “toolbox” serves as the foundation for a transformative traceability and monitoring system, designed to encompass the entire farm-to-fork journey. Embracing a cooperative and solidarity economy approach, our project aims to empower both producers and consumers by enhancing transparency, efficiency, and sustainability within the agri-food sector.

The key components of our toolbox include technologies such as Radio Frequency identification (RFID), GPS geolocation technologies, IoT and portable sensing systems. To test and integrate these systems into a real-world setting, CommonsLab, FiBL and Valdibella are joining forces creating a pilot in the form of a combined system. The pilot serves as a crucial testing ground where we assess the practical viability and performance of our combined system.

Cooperativa Agricola Valdibella is a cooperative of organic farmers founded in 1998 in Camporeale, Sicily. The cooperative promotes social projects and inclusion.
Its growing support community is currently represented by citizens and solidarity purchasing groups who choose to purchase in advance. Valdibella supports the consortium with the implementation of the system by liaising with the actors of the supply chain.
